Scarlett Johansson is an American actress and performer born in New York City, the city of New York, on November 22nd in 1984. Her acting has earned an acclaim in a diverse range of genres including historical drama as well as action and thrillers. Johansson was the child of a film director as well as an architect. Her family was based in New York City. She and her twin brother Hunter were the youngest siblings of four. Her interest began in acting from a very young age and was auditioning for commercials before age seven. After a short time, she began studying with the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute. Then, in the following years, the Professional Children's School was opened in Manhattan. In the Off Broadway play Sophistry she co-starred with Ethan Hawke. She then had her first appearance in a film with North (1994) and was written by Rob Reiner, at age nine. Johansson subsequently starred on the screen in Just Cause (1995), her debut was through Manny & Lo a coming of age film about sisters fleeing. She next earned praise for her performance as a teenager who has been injured in a horrific accident in The Horse Whisperer (1998) as well as further recognition in the role of a sarcastic teen exiled Rebecca on the set of Ghost World (2001). Apart from her work in the show, she has also been an actor on stage for several years. Her stage performances include one of the most memorable performances, including in Wildflower. Renee Felice Smith began her journey into the entertainment industry in the early years of her life. At the age of a young girl, she discovered her passion for acting. Smith was offered her first gig acting at the age of age six through the support of her parents. Smith was in a Dannon commercial for television. As with most actresses beginning to get their feet wet, she would work on her acting skills. As she was making her stage debut with Wildflower she was also working in various projects throughout the USA. She attended an institution called the Stonestreet Studios Conservatory, part of the New York University Tisch School of the Arts.
